Final week of rehearsal

I am so sorry I haven’t been blogging on a more regular basis, everyone, but let me go on and update you on the past week.  This was the last week of rehearsals in Cocoa and I was so glad to have mom and dad come down for a visit.  It was SO GREAT to get to see them and just say goodbye once more.  The cast had a ball getting to know them and, of course, the visit had to end with a brilliant meal.  Dad cooked a gorgeous meal that was much needed after a lot of restaurants and lean cuisines for all of us the past few weeks!  Ha!  Anyway- we got to hit the beach, they saw four of my five shows, and got to meet my friends!

We have been way ahead of the game, so this week wasn’t too tough on the singers especially (since the dancers have been putting up their big show).  Wednesday night we had “presentation” where we do pieces from each of the shows for the founder of the company, all the staff, families, etc.  It was nerve-wracking, but we had a blast.

Finally, on the last day in Cocoa (and America) we had one day off.  I had to make it to Disney!  Me and one of my best friends here, Lindsay, rented a car and drove up to Orlando for the day.  We got to hit Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom, riding everything in sight and really living it up American style for one last hoorah!  Ha ha!  We seriously had so much fun getting to ride the rides and act like five year olds.

This wrapped up an intense time of rehearsals in Cocoa.  The month was fun, but I tell you what; we have all been SO anxious to get on this ship.  Most of us have no experience with any of this, so it’s very much like walking into a dark room, wondering what we could possible be getting ourselves into!  Saying goodbye to the lovely Dixie Motel and Apartments, we got ready to fly out and begin our HUGE adventure!!!

Can’t wait to introduce you all to my lovely ship, the Voyager!!!
